ROLE: SERIES DEVELOPMENT ART DIRECTOR
Art directed Nickelodeon’s first original animated series for YouTube - Kid Cowboy. From it’s very early stages to launch, I was able to be a part of the development process for this colorful series. I worked on many fun visual elements throughout the series as well as branding and packaging for YouTube. My personal favorite is having added a moon to Luna’s hat.
VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
Collaborated with the development team to enhance Kid Cowboy and Luna with unique elements that made them visually engaging and more relatable for Nickelodeon audiences. Here are some more details on how these characters and elements came to life.
For Luna, we wanted the moon and stars to be her visual references and the colors pink and purple to play together to showcase her fun side. Her hair texture, the glitter on her hat and the glowy aspect of all elements make Luna one of my favorite characters in the Nickelodeon portfolio.
For Kid Cowboy, we leaned heavily into the blue and neon aspects of his look, combined with a hint of Nick Jr yellow to piece it all together. All his gadgets and props feature some sort of glow element, including his watch.
